Dear Employees of Splendido,

We wanted to inform you that we learned yesterday that an employee who works in Sonora tested positive for COVID-19. We wish them a speedy recovery.

Splendido is interviewing this individual to determine if he/she was in close contact with residents and/or other employees (meaning within 6 feet of anyone for more than 15 minutes). Anyone identified as a close contact will be tested twice a week for a minimum of 14 days.

NO CHANGES TO SONORA PROTOCOLS:
Sonora residents who are vaccinated and have no symptoms do not need to isolate, and programs and dining will continue as scheduled. Visitation will also continue as normal, except for any residents placed on isolation due to their vaccination status or COVID-19 symptoms. All visitors are reminded that face masks are required for the duration of each visit.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR TEAM MEMBERS:

If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, or have been around others that are sick with symptoms, please don’t come into work.

COVID-19 symptoms include a loss of taste or smell, cough, fever, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, shortness of breath, pink eye, eye pain, vertigo, and gastrointestinal issues such as diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting. If you experience any of these symptoms, or have been in contact with someone who has symptoms or has tested positive for COVID-19, please take these steps:

  1. Call your manager or your HR representative to discuss your status.
  2. Get tested for COVID-19. You can find a testing site at webcms.pima.gov/cms/One.aspx?portalId=169&pageId=575060.
  3. If you are ill, call your personal physician.

These steps help protect the health and safety of everyone who lives and works in Splendido.

Take care and stay well.
